Copenhagen Fashion Week SS26: Poolside with OpéraSport

Hej alle mine fashionistaer (hey all my fashionistas),

E&G Fashion House Media’s coverage of the fashion week shows for the Spring/Summer 2026 season will be part virtual and part in person, but that’s not going to stop me from being front row at as many of the shows as possible from in front of my iPad when I’m not seated front row at the shows in person. Don’t get me wrong, I am ecstatic in my anticipation of getting back into the full swing of the Fashion Week circuit where I would once again travel to all of the Fashion Week shows IRL again as we did in previous years. In this spirit, let’s kick it off our coverage of the Spring/Summer 2026 shows here at E&G Fashion House Media with the first show of Copenhagen Fashion Week featuring OpéraSport.

OpéraSport, based in Copenhagen, debuted their SS26 collection on Monday, August 4th at Frederiksberg Badene (Frederiksberg Baths). I’ve never attended a fashion show at a bathhouse or indoor swimming pool. I can only imagine what the ambience was like from inside. It is a unique setting and when done well, I imagine it renders the same waterside feeling that I and other fashion week guests have gotten at the beachfront shows that take place during Miami Swim Week at Miami’s South Beach, Gran Canaria Swim Week in Gran Canaria, Canary Islands and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia at Sydney’s Bondi Beach. I was curious about what Frederiksberg Badene looks like from the inside because the view is limited from the Vogue pictures alone. So, I found one to share with you below. I also found the full show showing right now on OpéraSport’s website homepage (click here for the full show). Imagine being seated on these poolside risers watching the models walk around the pool wearing the OpéraSport Spring/Summer 2026 collection:

What I love most about the collection that had an air of “styled swimwear for the streets” are the cool midriff looks and the “it’s a carefree summer” feel of all the pieces. I have an obsession with midriff looks and not just the idea of sensually showing off my waist line but how the rest of the look comes together around it, such as what complimentary accessories and pants or skirt I wear with it or whether or not I put an open top to frame the waist-bearing top I choose to wear. Here is my first favorite midriff look from OpéraSport:

OpéraSport SS26 Sheer Shrug, Bikini Top and Cargo Pants

Favorite OpéraSport SS26 Look #1: A white sheer flower embellished shrug over a white-edged black layered petal triangle bikini top with wide leather belted black cargo pants, flat yellow flip-flops and an oversized black satin ruffle shoulder bag. Photography by James Cochrane.

This first fav look come together from top to bottom in my opinion. It’s so effortlessly sleek and sexy, while at the same time, clean and not overly busy. A long-sleeve white sheer flower embellished shrug laying over the shoulders, draping down to the fingers to frame the white-edged black layered petal triangle bikini top that sits high above the wide black leather belted black cargo pants with snap pockets at the knees, wide enough to mostly cover the flat yellow thong sandals, rounded out by an oversized black satin ruffle shoulder bag. This outfit spells everyday summer perfection for me and anyone else with a fit body that they love to sometimes publicly adorn through their choice of style!

Here is my second favorite midriff look:

Favorite OpéraSport SS26 Look #2: Open flower print blazer, short ruffled black bikini top, black leather-belted high waist satin skirt and black leather knee-high tapered-toe boots. Photography by James Cochrane.

I am one to always argue in favor of boots year-round and this outfit pulls it off flawlessly. Boots and bikinis! What I really like about this outfit is the illusion it pulls of that the model is not that underdressed…as in, she could walk into any establishment and this midriff teasing outfit would be “appropriate” even though the only thing covering her torso area is the cute black triangle bikini top textured with short layered ruffles and a casual blazer that sits well on the shoulders and widens out at the bottom of the sleeves to give it a slight oversized feel over the fingers. The light material of the satiny skirt and the tan flower-printed lightweight blazer paired with the bikini top and boots give this whole look a breezy but edgy feel. Did I say I love this? It whispers “baddie”. No need to shout it wearing this one…

Despite my confessed obsession with OpéraSport’s framed midriff looks in this collection. There was one non-midriff look that grabbed my senses immediately and it happened to be right at the top of the show as the second look out:

OpéraSport SS26 Ruffled Camisole Bathing Suit and Trousers

Favorite OpéraSport SS26 Look #3: Navy ruffled camisole bathing suit and black leather-belted white pants with a navy flower petal boho bag and flat white flip-flops. Photography by James Cochrane.

My third and final favorite look appears to be built around a one piece bathing suit that is shaped in the style of a satin camisole or…I might also say it could be looked at like a bikini-top one piece where the bikini portion follows the ruffle motif in this collection. I do very much like that the ruffled portion does not take up the entire chest area, instead the ruffles outline a short-layered triangle shape on each side. Subtle detail, but standout! I also like that the white trousers are understated, to me at least. I think white pants can become a bit of a cliché look, almost an expected look for certain locales during, but especially during summer…and truthfully it can make an outfit look a little cookie-cutter and unoriginal. This works for some people though because the image built around dressing in white pants or white shorts or a white skirt or white dress for a boating or waterside experience has been modelled for the public formulaically for years. Why stray from an easy to make outfit that offers a polished look? I just think it can easily become too much of the focus in spring/summer styles. This third look I chose from OpéraSport does not do that. If I’m not mistaken, the white pants on the model are actually white jeans and so to me, even more so in that case, these white jeans serve to compliment the navy bathing suit by giving it a cool, easy streetwear style. Imaging myself in this outfit, I’m thinking: “oh, let me put these white jeans on over my sea navy cami bikini that let’s me feel like I haven’t really gotten out of my comfy pajamas. I’ll pair them with this stylish black leather belt for a little polish and I’ll throw whatever else I need in my matching flower petal boho bag. Bare face, barely touched hair, barely any jewelry and bare white flip-flops because I don’t really want to get dressed—it’s just a casual lunch/brunch by the pool…”
