CPHFW SS26: Gestuz's Grace & Glory

Hej Fashionistas,
Gestuz is a Danish brand that is known for highlighting the strength of women drawing inspiration from classic feminine looks and the modern rock n’ roll woman. They unveiled their Spring/Summer 2026 collection in Copenhagen’s Paper Island in the unfinished architecture of number 71 where the used and quickly abandoned space is reimagined through an installation of discarded tires and is now a unique cultural space for locals and tourists alike. Check out the white tires behind the models! This is another long one because I loved so many of the looks. I narrowed it down to my favorite nine. Let’s jump right in with the first three pictured below:

Just a preface as with all my blog posts for the various fashion week shows, I come up with my own title or description for each look. It could be totally different from what the designer would use to describe the look as. My naming works for me and the blog and is sometimes a playful way to bring my fashionistas into my point of view looking at each look. Alright, the first looks!
Fem Zip Suit: First of all, a two-way zip is everything. I will get into a look just for that detail alone. But that’s not all we’ve got here. It’s a black pants suit where the jacket has a two way zip and it seems to start low on the jacket two, leaving a little cleave area open. Love that too! The rest of the look is brought together by tasteful pops of color such as the nude stilettos (stilettos are like water for fashion in my opinion, a must-have—so I love seeing it here even though I can’t quite tell if it’s just a stiletto toe flat or actual high heels. In my mind the shoes high heels of course, why wouldn’t they be?), the sheer pink shawl and the wide red hot clutch under the model’s right arm.
Shawl Top & Trousers: There’s another wide red hot clutch held lower on the body by the model and what I am going to just freely assume are snakeskin pumps underneath those warm beige trousers. The blouse is really it for me though. The extra droopy cowl neck front and extra long shawl design hanging over the model’s left arm. So luxurious! I also really love that the blouse is kind of a crop top because there’s a little waist line peeking out between the blouse and the trousers. By the way, opting for no belt here is fun and casual to me. There used to be a time where that was such a faux pas but nowadays, it’s a nod to good tailoring. It could be nice to seal the look with a belt just because—or it could be monotonous and redundant because clearly it’s not absolutely needed here.
Suede Two Piece: Unlike in the last look, the matching belt on the trousers absolutely completes the look and is a nice added touch. Further (and further) into my opinion on the belt matter, the matching toffee suede belt with silver accenting helps seal the rustic look of this suede two piece consisting of a sleeveless top that gathers at a high neck line (almost halter style) and relaxed trousers. Plus there’s a matching relaxed shoulder bag in toffee suede too? Yes, everything matching and well sealed together here with the belt! Would suede coffee shoes have been overkill? Not if they were stilettos! I digress…I like the style choice of nude or bone colored shoes here instead.
Next three looks!
Sheer Camisole Dress: Slinky, sheer and floor length with a thigh-high side slit. That’s all we need to know. That’s this saucy camisole dress for you. The model also has a bunched jacket hanging down her arms behind her and she is wearing bone colored pumps.
Motto Jacket & Suede Dress: This look oozes with cool. It’s a color blocked motto jacket in burgundy and black that is offset but the same style wide red clutch under the model’s right arm that we saw above in the first look. Under all this is another thigh-high slit that was cut into a lush dark red rust dress that flows around the legs. Bone colored heels on the feet again. (Side note on these repeating heels fashionistas! Nude tone heels are a must have. I personally like having a pair similar to this bone color and a darker nude that is more tan than beige. They make such a difference in every outfit you pair them with. Trust! For darker tones, I actually like to get into more rust and maroon tones rather than coffee or mocha unless it’s impossible to walk away from and I’ve had that with boots for sure. Okay, back to these looks!)
Blazer & Leather Shorts: I’m not a big fan of trouser cut shorts or Bermuda shorts but this look makes the argument for them completely. And they are red and leather! The thinner belt line adds to the appeal here. The line of the shorts just keeps going. Paired nicely with another red clutch under the model’s arm and contrasted by a black crop v-cut top and a caramel sports blazer with a really sharp-cut lapel. I don’t know why that sticks out to me so much but I really like it. The stilettos? They’re a creamy grey! Sharp color play here.
Final three looks!
Trench-Style Canadian Tuxedo: For those who don’t know, since a fateful event at a luxury hotel in Vancouver, Canada in 1951 whenever a denim jacket is paired with denim jeans this is referred to as a Canadian tuxedo. This is similar to the Texas tuxedo that rooted in style back in the 1940s, however the Texas tuxedo calls for the inclusion of cowboy boots, a leather belt with a prominent belt buckle for the jeans and often a cowboy hat as well. Gestuz puts a dapper twist on the Canadian Tuxe with a long jean trench coat whose puff sleeves gather at the elbows, accessorized by a jean belt around the waist (standard for any good trench coat), a metal belt on each sleeve at the bottom to tighten them around the arm (a little grunge there!) and added white gloves on the model’s hands that turn this look up a notch. The jeans on the bottom only show from the lower leg down and drape nicely over seemingly white stilettos. This look stuns!
Puff Sleeve Dress: This look is a statement structured black, front-closure dress that stops just above the knees and has puff sleeves that nicely expand out the widest at the elbows and come back in at the wrists for a clean finish. For a rattle, the dress was paired with knee-high snake skin boots. It’s got spice!
Suit & Trench: My last favorite is a layered look consisting of an olive brown pants and jacket suit under a beige trench. I love that the arms of the trench are bunch up over the suit jacket so the suit jacket sleeves show and they create this organic color blocking and dimension in the look. Plus all the pockets weaving together from the suit and the jacket. I love pockets—I love the depth they give to the ensemble and the room they give to place the hands somewhere, adding a different attitude to how the pieces are styled on the body. I can’t really see the shoes but I believe the model here is also wearing a pair of the grey stilettos I loved so much from the Blazer & Leather Shorts look further up.
