CPHFW SS26: CMMN SWDN Anything But Common

Hej Fashionistas,

CMMN SWDN is a husband-and-wife duo brand (so sweet!) established in Malmö, Sweden in 2012. They unveiled their Spring/Summer 2026 collection Shifting Light at Copenhagen Fashion Week to reflect quiet moments and a deep exhale through their artwork. The show took place in the CIFF event venue. Below are my four favorites from the collection, two black designs and two pale yellow design. Let’s get in it!

Black Two Piece: I love that this black two piece consists of an asymmetrical one shoulder top that layers in an opposite diagonal cut over loose fitting black trousers. The pale yellow scarf going around the hips to break the line here a bit is a nice touch and goes right with the brand’s theme for this season’s collection.

Black Mesh Dress: Sassy beach cover up or provocative city walk statement? Both! You can see the black undergarment but it’s not offensive. I appreciate that in the design. The same goes for the torso area where the breasts are visible but not in your face under the dress. It’s a type of topless with taste. And, the dress lays beautifully.

Pale Yellow Tunic Dress: This simple and sophisticated long tunic dress in a pale yellow strikes my eyes immediately and had to go in my top four. The shoulder cut is interesting here. The edges have a sharp angle that triangle out over each should and adds definition to the dress. The black netted slouch bag the model is carrying in her hand nicely matches the large black bangle on the model’s left wrist and the black thong sandals on the model’s feet.

Pale Yellow Two Piece: It’s beach time for sure in this two piece bunched triangle top and high-cut shorts. The shorts keep a nice tailoring, Bermuda shorts style to my eyes. I like that the black netted slouch bag the model is carrying in her hand matches the black thong sandals here too! My grandmother (who this company is partly named after) used to always remind me that my bag must match my shoes. This reminds me of that.

I hope you enjoyed my favorite picks from the CMMN SWDN Spring/Summer 2026 collection from this season of Copenhagen Fashion Week! Special thanks to Copenhagen Fashion Week for giving E&G Fashion House Media access to virtual content while we are not able to attend the fashion week shows in person! All pictures above were shot by photographer James Cochrane and provided to me by Copenhagen Fashion Week.
